Sony Design: INTO SIGHT Fuses Meta and Reality at London Design Festival

Sony continues LDF partnership to deliver an emotive, life-sized installation.

Sony Europe today announces its continued partnership with the highly anticipated London Design Festival 2022. INTO SIGHT is a physical installation open from 17-25th September, fusing meta and physical realities and evoking unique emotional responses from each guest.

Taking inspiration from the challenges of this decade, the installation combines physical and virtual technologies, giving guests a moment to reflect, consider their environment and tell their own story.

Open to the public at Pavilion Gallery, 4 Cromwell Place, South Kensington, London SW7 2JE, INTO SIGHT is a life-sized media platform installation, where Sony’s design plays on sensorial effects that transform simple boundary surfaces into an infinite vista through shifting light, colour and sound.

Stepping into the installation unleashes a unique response; as you venture further inside you will become more aware of unexpected visual and audio dimensions that continuously evolve through your interactions. The platform consists of Sony’s 220-inch Crystal LED screen, see-through glass walls, and reflective surfaces on the floor and ceiling.

Hirotaka Tako, Head of Design Centre Europe at Sony Europe, “Our goal is to give meaning to ideas and develop new standards through the power of design. INTO SIGHT envelopes us in an immersive sensory experience, creating an infinite, insightful and very individual journey for every guest. Above all, it relies on the transformative emotional connections that the platform delivers for our visitors.”

At its core, INTO SIGHT uses Sony’s Crystal LED technology, which has already been applied to museums, automotive retail and luxury experiential.
