China and Japan Markets Focus of Mingtiandi Logistics Forum This Week

Mingtiandi’s Asia Logistics Forum 2022 continues this week with panel sessions focusing on the region’s two largest markets, China and Japan.

Following the forum’s opening session last week with ESR-REIT and JLL, a panel at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time on Tuesday, 17 May will welcome guests from LaSalle Investment Management, SC Capital Partners, Cushman & Wakefield and Baker McKenzie for an up-close look at how China’s logistics market is holding up in the face of lockdowns.

The logistics forum will continue on Thursday, 19 May with a panel dedicated to the Japan market, feauring speakers from GLP, EQT Exeter, APG Asset Management and MSCI-RCA, with that event also happening at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time.

Big Economies, Big Questions

In the China session, Winnie Yu, a managing director with LaSalle Investment Management; will join Joe Xiao, head of logistics business for China with the industrial and logistics property services division of Cushman & Wakefield; Michael Lane, a managing director with SC Capital Partners and Baker McKenzie partners Jeremy Ong; as we cover issues ranging from the impact of the pandemic on e-commerce to the outlook for logistics REITs in the region.

For our Japan panel, Mingtiandi will welcome Yosuke Fujioka, managing director and head of investments and fund management for the Japan division of GLP; as well as Matthew Zann, head of Asia Pacific for EQT Exeter; Brian Hung, a director with APG Asset Management and Benjamin Chow, head of real estate research for Asia at MSCI.

Korea and More on the Way

With Mingtiandi’s third annual logistics forum now expanded to six sessions, the programme will continue on Tuesday, 24 May, with a panel focusing on the Korea market featuring speakers from ESR Kendall Square REIT, LaSalle Investment Management, Hines and JLL.

On Thursday, 26 May the spotlight turns to emerging markets with a panel featuring speakers from CPPIB, Cushman & Wakefield and BW Industrial, with the forum wrapping up on Monday, 30 May with a panel diving into the interaction between logistics and e-commerce in the region.
